Glenn E. Mitchell
Throughout my sports career, I understood that my mental performance greatly affected my physical capabilities. After being released from pro-ball in 1992, I decided to hang up my cleats and continue to pursue my love of the game through coaching, teaching, and mentoring athletes. This put me on a journey to working with athletes looking to become better players on and off the field.
I began to research and study famous athletes, Hall of Famers, legendary actors and successful businesspeople to learn about the ‘IT’ factor. I learned that it’s not just the physical aspect but the mental realm of all professionals – quieting the mind, taking out what doesn’t fit, programming yourself to cultivate your mind – that allows each player to flourish.
My aim as a life coach/teacher is to help my students understand their bodies both mentally and physically. This will enable them to get command of every movement and mentally help them grow. Teaching them to stay calm through every sport or life situation while working with them not against them. (It’s not my way, it’s their way, but with my help). If I do my job, the athlete will grow as a player and a person in life. My feeling is it is an honor to provide a tangible service that will help all athletes and people continue on their journey of success.
Getting my certification from Mental Game Coaching Professional and Mental Performance Mastery was the best decision I ever made to help me understand what I 've always been searching for. While thankful for MGCP and MPM, my mental educational search continues.
